WHAT IS INTUITION PAINTING?
Intuition Painting® is a six-phase, non-directive painting process born from the expressive arts movement, that awakens the innate creativity within all of us, offering a safe, judgment-free space where self-expression, revelation and transformation can unfold.
There is no technique to learn. Nothing to get right. No expectation of a beautiful piece of art to sell, display or critique. It is about releasing ego, quieting the inner critic and allowing your own intuition, the deeper wisdom of the dreaming self, to guide the brush. In this spontaneous, unplanned process, images, colors and symbols emerge not from the thinking mind, but from the deeper strata of the psyche. These visual expression carry insight, emotion and possibilities that words alone often cannot access.
You follow the brush, one mark at a time, without deciding in advance what it should become. Images appear that you didn't plan. And when the painting begins to ask for changes, you allow the real magic to unfold, signaling to your unconscious that change is possible. And those images have something true to say about who you are, what is wanting to be released and who you're ready to become.
The paper becomes a mirror. A conversation. A way of knowing yourself that thinking alone cannot offer.
"I came in not knowing what to expect. I left feeling more like myself."

A One-of-a-Kind Process
Unlike traditional painting methods that emphasize skill or technique, Intuition Painting invites you to explore the raw, unfiltered flow of your intuition.
Through this practice, you learn to engage in a dialogue with your inner world, expressing emotions, insights, and visions that often remain hidden. The work goes beyond creating a visual piece—it’s a deeply personal journey of self-discovery and enlightenment.
The power of Intuition Painting lies in its ability to unlock creative energy and dissolve blocks that limit self-expression. It creates a safe, sacred container for spontaneous creativity to flourish. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or have never picked up a brush, Intuition Painting honors your unique rhythm, intuition, and voice. You’ll discover how the act of painting can be a gateway to emotional release, clarity, and transformation, offering profound insights for both your inner and outer life.
When you return to your innate creativity, you return to yourself. When you follow your inner brush, you unlock the wisdom your mind alone cannot access.
This process consistently opens doors to emotional freedom, healing, and personal growth in ways that traditional talk therapy, goal-oriented art-making, or self-development techniques often cannot reach. The transformations it offers are often unheralded—subtle and seismic, mysterious and embodied. Something moves… and you are not the same.
WHAT IT ACTUALLY DOES
This isn’t gentle. It’s transformative.
Participants have described this process as life-changing, liberating, and unlike anything they’ve ever experienced. Not because it’s dramatic — but because it’s real. It reaches places that talking, thinking, and even traditional therapy often cannot.
Moving through grief, loss, and emotional stagnation that had been stuck for years
Accessing clarity, purpose, and direction where there was confusion
Reconnecting with creative instincts and joy buried under decades of responsibility
Experiencing relief, release, and a profound sense of being known — by yourself
Finding courage and resilience for what comes next
“Something moves. And you are not the same.”
This isn’t therapy — though it is surely therapeutic. It’s an intentional gathering around an aspect of ourselves so rarely invited to the table. And it is, in my experience, one of the most quietly powerful things a person can do.
Who is this For?
It’s not about technique.
There are no comments and no critiques.
It’s about what happens when you finally stop trying to be good—and instead become real.
-
When the ground shifts beneath you — a new chapter, an ending, a beginning you didn't choose — it can be hard to know who you are outside the role you just left. Intuition painting creates space to meet yourself again without the old labels. The painting doesn't care what you used to do or where you're headed. It only cares what's true right now.
-
Stuck isn't a character flaw. It's a signal that something wants to move and hasn't found a way through yet. Intuition painting bypasses the thinking mind — the part that keeps rehearsing the same loop — and gives that stuck energy a place to go. Paint it out. Exaggerate it. Let the brush carry what words can't.
-
If you've always sensed there's more to know about yourself than therapy, books, or meditation have fully reached — you're right. Intuition painting opens a channel to the unconscious that most practices don't touch. The images that emerge aren't random. They're yours. And they know things your conscious mind is still catching up to.
-
If you've been making art for years and something feels like it's missing — or if technique has started to feel like a cage — this process is an invitation to put down the plan and follow instead. Intuition painting isn't about making better art. It's about making truer art. And sometimes the truest work comes from the place that doesn't know the rules.
-
That feeling of going through the motions. Of watching your life from a slight distance. Of knowing something is missing but not being able to name it. Intuition painting doesn't just describe aliveness — it produces it. Something in the body wakes up when the brush starts moving without a plan. The artbeat, which went quiet, begins to pulse again.
-
You spend your days holding space for others. You know the territory of the inner life intimately. And you also know that words have limits — that some things live below language and need a different kind of container. Intuition painting offers a complementary modality that can take your clients — and your own practice — somewhere talking alone cannot go.
-
You used to draw, paint, play an instrument, write, sew, build things with your hands. And somewhere along the way you stopped — a critical voice, a busy life, a loss of the structure that held it. The artbeat doesn't die when we stop making. It waits. This is an invitation to come back without needing to pick up where you left off. You can start fresh. You can start imperfectly. You can just start.
-
If you're tired of doing everything for an audience — including the one inside your own head — intuition painting offers something radical: a process with no product to judge, no outcome to evaluate, no performance to maintain. You paint without knowing what you're making. You make without knowing what it means. And in that freedom, something genuine surfaces that the performing self never could have manufactured.
You only need a willingness to show up, stay curious and trust.
The workshop is
Structured enough to support you
Free enough to surprise you
Safe enough to hold anything that arises
We Need this! More than ever.
We live in a time that disconnects us from ourselves at every turn. Social media, non stop news, worry about the world. Intuition Painting® offers a way back to that quiet creative part of ourself that grounds us and helps us be more resilient and engaged with the life we are living.
This process opens doors that traditional talk therapy, goal-oriented art-making, and self-development techniques often can't reach. The transformations it offers are sometimes quiet, sometimes seismic. Something moves. And you see something new.
When you follow your inner brush, and let the paint speak to you, you unlock the wisdom that you can’t access with your mind alone. You engage with the wisdom of your own artbeat, the drum beat of your soul.
